Lower Kali Gandaki Kayak School $350

Our newest trip, unique to Rapidrunner Expeditions is a brilliant opportunity to learn to kayak with our in-depth 7 day kayak school on the Lower Kali Gandaki River. Gentle rapids and stunning scenery provide the perfect setting for learning to paddle, roll and read the river like a pro!  You may have a little experience, or none at all but as with any active sport, a reasonable level of general fitness will enable more rapid and enjoyable progress.

  • Basic kayaking strokes
  • Capsize drill
  • Moving water techniques
  • Journeying on rivers and white water
  • Safety principles of the sport of kayaking
  • Breaking in and out, ferry-gliding, avoiding stoppers
  • Basic wave surfing techniques
  • Eskimo rolling
  • Reading white water, planning your route down a rapid
  • White water safety and rescue techniques
  • Trip planning and preparation
